Reg joined the Club in 1989. In the 1990's plans were made for the possible resiting of the Club at Mazengarb Road from Aorangi Road. The news in February 1994 was that the earthworks and site levelling had begun at Mazengarb Road. In April 1998, authorisation was given for the signing between the Club and the Council of the land lease for the new clubhouse and Reg was appointed Project Manager for its building and practically lived on site, until August of that year saw the clubhouse completed. A clubhouse that any club would be proud of. However with the growth in club membership, the club was finding the clubhouse too small and after considering a report that had been prepared, Reg's plan for the extension of the clubhouse was approved. Fundraising began once more and the actual building work began in mid-March 2007 and was completed May 2007. And this is the Clubhouse we have today. Reg was President in 1996 and in 1997, Club Captain in the year 2000 and was on the Committee in 2016. He has always been prepared to help and to give considered advice to both AC and GC players. Reg was presented life membership to the Paraparaumu Croquet Club at the 2020 AGM and will always be remembered as a valued member of our club and will be sorely missed by all, RIP Reg.
Apart from all of Reg's voluntary contributions, building work, Presidency and Clup captain roles, Reg also featured many times in our Honours lists as follows: Nicholl Cup - Most breaks hcap 18-24 / 1992-1993.
